We say it all the time on Logik Live; We absolutely could not do what we are doing with Logik without the support of our Patrons! This includes the folks who have taken advantage of all that we are offering on Logik Academy Pro. As a way to say thank you, we are throwing a little reception at the Palazzo Pool!

An invitation will be sent via email to all of our registered Patrons and Logik Academy Pro Members. Registration is required and space is limited!

Logik After Dark Party in the Logik Suite!

This is the Logik social event of the year! Come hang out and have a few drinks with your fellow Flame Artists. The Autodesk Dev Team will be on hand, and there will be a special presentation by Senior Product Owners Frederic Warren and Stephane Labrie!

Monday and Tuesday, April 15th & 16th

The Logik Suite will be open from 10am - 6pm. We’ll have Flames and Flame Artists on hand all day! Pop in and say hi, grab a drink and a snack, ask a question, share some knowledge and have some fun. A great way to break up your day at the Convention Center!

These 1 hour classes will have a maximum of 6 seats, so you’re guaranteed to get your questions answered an get the most out of each class.

Mon & Tues @ 10am: Connected Conform & Publishing Workflows An update & expansion to Jeff's Connected Conform tutorials on Youtube, covering one way of managing complex versioning through publishing, openclips, and all sorts of connections in between.

Mon & Tues @ 3pm: Tracking Outside of Flame: Intro to Mocha Pro & SynthEyes A crash course to get you up and running in Mocha and Syntheyes, covering a few different ways to use tracking data from those programs inside of Flame. This class includes a 1-month license of Mocha and Syntheyes, and a 25% discount on the purchase of a subscription!

Mon & Tues @ 11am: Tracking with the Perspective Grid

  • Using Perspective Grid to paint over a sequence.

  • Matching two cameras, and using material from one plate on a "similar" plate,

  • Double the perspective grid, replacing labels on a moving milk carton.

  • Bonus: using camera tracking to place and scale an object in a shot.

Mon & Tues @ 4pm: Mastering Flame Expressions

  • Sometimes you don't need expressions, simple linking and adjusting.

  • Creating a wobble setup for stuff like camera shake.

  • Controller channels on expressions.

  • Weird stuff like a puppet rig.


Mon & Tues @ 12pm: Image Node/Color Workflow Tips and Workflow suggestions to get the most out of client supervised color sessions in Flame.

Mon & Tues @ 4pm: Rig Removal and Cleanup Techniques Bryan will demonstrate a handful of techniques for cleanup tasks that always seem to show up unannounced and at the last minute.

Mon & Tues @ 2pm: ACES High or Mastering Color Management (See what we did there πŸ˜€) Proper Color Management is vital to the success of any project, but where do you begin? Building on β€œ8 Minute ACES”, Randy demystifies Color Management in Flame and gives you the foundation and the context so you can get the most out of every pixel.



Mon & Tues @ 1pm: 2D & 3D Stabilizing Techniques for Beauty and Cleanup Stabilizing can be your best technique for effective and efficient cleanup. In this session, Andy details a range of 2D and 3D stabilizing techniques to help you tackle any cleanup task, from logo replacement to beauty and more. Techniques include:

  • 2D Stabilizing with the Planar Tracker and 2D Transform

  • Stabilizing with Motion Vectors and UV Maps

  • Stabilizing with 3D Camera Tracks and Geometry
